About the position

A Quality Assurance analyst is a core part of Bright’s operations team, its focus is ensuring all of Bright’s installations comply with the standards established by the Quality Assurance department according to the NOM-001-SEDE-2012 and internal criteria. The main tasks include overseeing the viability of the project design, commissioning approval, and installation conflict resolution with customers, installers and CFE.

 

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has electrical knowledge (intermediate):

    • Implementation of electrical concepts (ohms law, Kirchhoff's circuit laws, etc)

    • Knowledge of electrical elements and its use (transformers, inverters, ITM, fuse etc)

    • Ability to understand technical texts

  • Is very detail oriented

  • Is creative solving technical problems 

  • Has the ability to communicate clearly and concise

  • Has the ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables (SLA compliance)

  • Is organized and metric driven 

  • Is an effective team player

  • Is excited to help the solar revolution grow

  • Adaptable to homeoffice work style

  • Desirable: electrical installation experience (residential or industrial)

  • Desirable: English B1
     

Your tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Review and approval of the commissioning document for 30% of the facilities completed during July-December 2022

    • Ensure facility meets Bright's quality standards

    • Ensure that the installation does not present any situation that could cause setbacks during the interconnection process

    • Ensure that the facility can function properly for the 13-year contract

    • Ensure the satisfactory solution of any setbacks during interconnection derived from an error in the review of commissionings

  • Support and feedback to the SW and QA team for a Commissioning Revamp project that guarantees a 30% reduction in the time used for the commissioning review

    • Project Efficiency to increase the number of projects per analyst you can handle

    • Close out and implementation of the new tools expected in Nov 2022

  • Management of supplier payment documents through a manual process

    • Compare invoiced items vs items on purchase order

    • Upload invoice information to a payment form

    • Update payment projection document with the information of the paid invoice

 

Your Key Results will be:

  • At Bright we operate on the OKR system pioneered at Intel and used widely at Google and many tech companies

  • For this specific role your KR (upon which your success will be measured) are:     

    • Commissioning revision and QA ticket close on SLA: 100%

    • Installations approved w/o CFE_rejection or OM_issue tag: 100%

    • Supplier invoices paid within SLA: 100%
