About the position
We are looking for an experienced collections manager with proven experience in collections for fintech companies. This team handles everything related to ensuring customers pay on time for their solar energy production services and financed solar system acquisitions while simultaneously providing the best possible customer experience.
You should be someone with the capacity to analyze the collections data and customer and analyst behavior to improve the collection process with tools that enable the team to hit their monthly collection goals.
We’re looking for someone who

Has a proven track record/history of success in decreasing the fault rate.

Is capable of making data-driven decisions; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information

At least five years of experience in collections management, ideally in a fintech or financial services company in Mexico.

Acts as a catalyst for change and innovation; energizes others to embrace change.

Knowledge of local laws and regulations governing debt collection, including the Consumer Protection Law, the Financial Institutions Law, and the Commercial Code.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team, provide guidance and support, and manage performance.

Excellent quick problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify issues, develop and implement effective solutions, and make sound decisions fast.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Amazing communication skills in Spanish and English
Your tasks and responsibilities will be

Manage the billing analysts' performance and career.

Implement best-in-class practices and tools to meet the monthly collection goals.

Iterate current processes to automate them and make them scalable through software solutions.

Report billing results and efficiency increase projects progress to the executive team.
Your Key Results (upon which your success will be measured) will be

KR1: > 99.5% of monthly expected payments are collected within the first three 30-day cohorts of the month the payment was expected in.

KR 2: > 30 of the customers that interacted with the billing team grade the experience as positive
